Em at Monmore

Questhouse Em (Trap 2) had another blow out at Monmore last night on her road to full fitness after a recent season. She almost made it round the first bend but unfortunately get cut off at a crucial point. She ran on with a lot of heart and should pick up an open soon enough.

New Videos

I have just added three new movies of our litters to the website, Hondo Black x Droopys Lena, Droopys Maldini x Miss Wonderful and Hondo Black x Baby Marge. They are all doing exceptionally well as is evident in the videos.

Back in the groove

Well thankfully we have managed to get back into a normal routine with the pups and what a lovely sight to see the pups back running around in the field, naturally I will not put them at risk if the elements are against them but for the time being it seems past us.

I had good reports from the schooling track about the Premier Fantasys, all six to be sent there have chased straight away and are mad keen according to Jane and Dave, all very well mannered and all in all they are very happy with the first crop of pups sent from here to them, by the way when I mention “Them” I mean Dave and Jane Houfton, they can be found at www.dunhamgreyhoundcentre.co.uk .

Droopys Lena’s first crop by Droopys Maldini are trialling in well, the two at Henlow are well inside grading and Big Chief at Lance Burfords had his first UK Trial after 3 months doing very little and clocked a very good 15.40 at Monmore on Tuesday, hopefully they all give their owners lots of fun, the other dog is still in Ireland and very pleasing on the eye.
Lenas second litter to Hondo Black are coming on a treat, due to the weather I feel the two younger litters are a couple of weeks behind but they will quickly make this up, they are however thriving and could not be much happier with them, check out the NEW Syndicates page for one of Lenas pups.
Baby Marges pups are doing well and they are very vociferous and outgoing, not a bad thing really as it means they are on the go, we still have one dog pup for sale at a ridiculously low price,
check out For Sale page for details.

Miss Wonderfuls pups are doing very well and I am very pleased with them, whilst they are not the tallest pups they are very very stocky and showing me all I want to see at this stage, lets hope we can get a bit of luck with them. Ebony (Miss Wonderful) is the most placid greyhound you will see and does not have one single bad bone in her body, she loves nothing more than coming in the house to lie by the open fire.
We have put up new pictures of all the pups, these can be found within
Galleries and we shall have a video of each set of pups early next week which I am sure you will enjoy.
We have also made available a new Tab at top of page, its going to be dedicated to current and future Syndicates, I know theres many people who would like to be involved in the ownership of a puppy from a young age but cannot afford the cost on their own, hopefully this may prove to be a service that can encourage new and old ownership into the sport.

On the subject of our sport, myself and Dave Firmager have been talking recently and both are of the same way of thinking that it is about time that our boards have incentives for people to buy British Bred Pups, we can do the job just as well as our counterparts over the water and perhaps if there were incentives in place,it may encourage more people to look at The British Breed.
I would like to see a £10,000 Comp every month of the Year, these could be placed throughout the country to allow everyone the opportunity to be involved, another idea would be Free or reduced registration fees, I am sure there would be many many other ideas from others and please feel free to drop me a line with anything questhousekennels@googlemail.com , who knows we might just be able to help ourselves by offering up suggestions to our board, this goes for everyone not just the perceived bigger breeders, I am also happy to chat on the phone should anyone like to, numbers on Home page.
